Temporary, Immediate Start, £15ph
Proactive and customer-focused Assistant Accommodation Manager required to support the day-to-day operation of a vibrant student accommodation in Portsmouth.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in student accommodation, hospitality, property management, or a customer-facing environment who enjoys delivering outstanding service and making a positive impact on residents' lives.
Key Responsibilities
Support the management of daily accommodation operations, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and health & safety compliance.
Respond to resident enquiries, requests, and concerns professionally, delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
Coordinate maintenance and repair works, liaising with contractors and service providers as required.
Assist with student arrivals and departures, ensuring a smooth and positive check-in and check-out experience.
Support budgeting activities and help manage accommodation supplies and resources effectively.
Assist in planning and delivering engaging social events and community-building activities for residents.
Uphold company policies and accommodation regulations, addressing issues fairly and professionally.
Maintain accurate records, update property management systems, and prepare reports when required.
Support emergency response procedures and assist with out-of-hours issues as needed.
Contribute positively to a collaborative team culture.
Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by management.
Skills & Experience
Experience within student accommodation, hospitality, property management, or a related sector.
Previous experience in a customer service-focused role.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
A flexible approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
