Description:
In this role, you will undertake assessments of customers' support needs and associated risks, identifying and allocating suitable placements within supported accommodation where appropriate. Working proactively with a range of internal and external partners, you will help mitigate risks, build positive relationships with customers and agencies, and source or signpost individuals to the support services they need.
You will develop and maintain strong partnerships with supported accommodation providers, helping to identify and secure move-on opportunities for customers. Working collaboratively with support providers and external agencies, you will support customers to transition into more permanent housing solutions within both the private and social housing sectors.
You will manage a varied caseload, maintaining accurate manual and electronic records to ensure all customer interactions, assessments, outcomes and risk mitigation actions are comprehensively documented.
The role also involves investigating and resolving complaints from customers and landlords, working proactively to address issues and achieve positive outcomes for all parties involved.
About You
You will be an experienced and compassionate housing professional with a strong understanding of housing management, including rent account management, tenancy administration, risk assessments and support planning. You will have significant experience supporting individuals with complex needs, building trusted relationships with accommodation providers, support services and partner agencies, and working collaboratively to secure the most appropriate outcomes for customers.
With a good knowledge of local support services, including mental health, health, and welfare and benefits provision, you will be a confident communicator with strong negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills. You will demonstrate excellent customer care, empathy and professionalism, alongside the ability to find innovative solutions, manage competing priorities and adapt to changing demands.
Self-motivated and resilient, you will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and remain focused on achieving positive outcomes for customers.
