To £28,000 Per Annum
* Monday to Thursday, 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 13:00

My client is a specialist manufacturer. Due to team expansion they are now looking to recruit a dependable and skilled Assembly Technician. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with approachable and talented individuals whilst offering a foundation to advance your career.
Main responsibilities:
* Carry out the manufacturing and assembly of the company’s products in accordance with production drawings and specifications.
* Piping fabrication and assembly
* Panel wiring
* Working to set timescale's and to the expected high quality standards.
* Identify and report defects or shortfalls in raw materials as well as components that are likely to cause delays in the production process.
* Identify and report opportunities to reduce production costs and timescale's.
* Maintain accurate documentary evidence of works processes carried out in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Electrical assembly, panel wiring techniques
* Sound electro / mechanical knowledge or time served in a practical role that could offer transferable skills.
* Ability to understand and work from schematic drawings.
* Self-motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Knowledge and experience of basic assembly techniques including crimping, wiring, press fit jointing etc.
* Ability to use a range of hand tools (drilling, tapping, cutting etc).
* Competent user of IT and computer equipment
* Willing to undertake professional development training as required.
