Assembly Team Leader
Nottingham
Full-time | Permanent Rotating shifts ( Days - Afters -Nights)
£14-£15 with shift allowance
Laser Expertise is looking for an experienced and reliable Assembly Team Leader to lead our busy Assembly department.
This is a hands-on position, so you will work alongside the team while ensuring jobs are completed safely, correctly and on time.
Main responsibilities:
Lead and support the Assembly team.
Allocate daily workloads and monitor progress.
Assemble fabricated metal components using hand and power tools.
Read and work from engineering drawings.
Check completed work meets the required quality standards.
Help train and support new and existing team members.
Identify and report any production or quality issues.
Ensure the department remains clean, organised and safe.
Work with other departments to meet production deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous assembly experience within manufacturing or engineering.
Experience leading or supervising a small team.
The ability to read basic engineering drawings.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Good attention to detail.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A practical, hands-on approach.
A positive and reliable attitude.
Previous experience assembling sheet metal or fabricated products would be an advantage.
