Assembly Operative

Description:

Smart Solutions are pleased to be working with this leading manufacturer of dynamic global defence and aerospace products. Working from their centre of excellence, we are recruiting for Assembly Operatives to join them on a temporary to permanent basis.

The Assembly Operative will work to engineering drawings to manually assemble various mechanical and electrical vehicular parts with the use of a mix of hand tools.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you have mechanical or electrical experience within in the aerospace, aviation, or automotive sectors. They are offering candidates a permanent contract after a minimum 12-week period of successful probation.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Wednesday: 7.00am to 5pm

Thursday: 7.00am to 4.30pm

Friday, Saturday & Sunday OFF

Once you are fully trained overtime is available, paid at time & half to double time depending on shift times/ days.

Assembly Operative Skills Required:

* Good Mechanical or Electrical aptitude is essential

* Experienced in the safe use of a range of hand and power tools

* Excellent communication skills, to explain general information and effectively communicate with peers and management

* Ability to read assembly documentation such as drawings and work instructions essential

* Knowledge of health and safety within the workplace.

* General knowledge of assembly operations
