We are recruiting for a Assembly Operative in the Hixon area
Assembly Operative role
* Sub assembly and assembly of professional mowers manufactured in house
* Work to standard operating procedure (SOP)
* Highlight and assist in problem solving any quality issues and complete any paperwork as instructed
* Assist in overcoming production related problems with regards to quality and build
* Report any potential material shortages
* Participate in continuous improvement/ lean manufacturing activities
* Ensure production targets are achieved
* Complete predelivery inspection (PDI) and associated paperwork on finished machines
* Final inspection and packaging of finished machines, accessories and spares
* Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed
* 5S house keeping
* You may be required to perform such other and/or additional duties within your skill and competence as the business may require
Assembly Operative Requirements
* Mechanical assembly experience including hydraulics and electrical
* Ability to use technical manuals, drawings and standard operating procedures
* Technical knowledge of machinery and understanding of how to manage and maintain their continuous working
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet production targets
* Driving licence preferred due to rural location
Assembly Operative Details
* Hours are Monday to Thursday 7am - 4:30pm
* Friday 7am - 12:15pm
* Pay is £13.02 P/H
* Temp to perm
* 28 Holidays per year
