Description:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Assembly Operative to join our client's manufacturing team on a temporary, ad-hoc basis. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling a wide range of air handling units.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or sheet metal experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble air handling units and associated components.
Assemble parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.
Position and align components manually or using lifting equipment where required.
Carry out occasional welding of components.
Conduct quality control inspections throughout the assembly process.
Measure completed components to ensure they meet specifications.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas to a high standard.
Perform routine equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
Follow all company health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Occasionally travel to customer sites within the UK and overseas to support installation or resolve service issues.Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Experience working with sheet metal.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
Good manual dexterity and practical skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move materials safely.
A good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.Desirable
