Assembly & Finishing Operative
Location: Ashford
Pay: £13.33 per hour
Contract: Permanent or Temp-to-Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Alternate Saturdays: 7:00am – 11:00am
We are currently recruiting for an Assembly & Finishing Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business in Ashford. This is a varied, hands-on position involving assembly, finishing, quality checking and preparing products for dispatch.
The role would suit someone with previous manufacturing, assembly or workshop experience who enjoys practical work and takes pride in producing work to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assembling products to the required specification
* Fitting components and completing finishing work
* Preparing completed products for dispatch and installation
* Packing orders safely and securely
* Carrying out final quality checks
* Supporting general workshop and finishing duties
* Working both indoors and outdoors when required
* Ensuring work is completed accurately and within required timescales
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
Requirements:
* Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, finishing or a similar hands-on role
* Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
* Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors throughout the year
* Reliable, hardworking and self-motivated
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
