AM Shift: £12.71 per hour
PM Shift: £13.31 per hourLocation: Round Spinney, Northampton (NN3)

Barker Ross is recruiting Assembly Operatives for a fantastic opportunity with our client in Northampton. This is an excellent role for individuals looking for stable, long-term work with the potential to become permanent after a successful period. Shift Pattern

AM Shift
Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 12:00
Friday: 06:00 - 13:00

PM Shift
Monday - Thursday: 14:00 - 22:00
Friday: 13:00 - 20:00

The Role :

In this role, you will be working in a busy production and manufacturing environment where attention to detail and consistency are key. You will be responsible for assembling small to medium-sized components to a high standard, ensuring all products meet strict quality requirements.

You will work at a designated workstation, following clear step-by-step instructions and production guidelines. The work is repetitive but requires focus, accuracy, and care to ensure all items are assembled correctly and meet customer expectations.

Daily duties will involve handling small parts, checking them for defects, fitting components together, and preparing finished items for the next stage of production or dispatch. You will also be required to carry out basic quality checks throughout the process to ensure standards are consistently maintained.

Once trained, you will be expected to work independently while still being part of a supportive production team. You will need to maintain productivity targets while ensuring quality is never compromised.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble small parts accurately and efficiently
Work from clear instructions and production guidelines
Carry out visual quality checks on components
Identify and report any defects or issues
Maintain consistent production output
Ensure a clean and safe working environment
Follow all health & safety procedures

Requirements:

Strong attention to detail
Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
Good eyesight for small components
Reliable, punctual, and motivated
Ability to follow instructions accurately
Previous assembly or production experience is an advantage but not essential
