Aspiring Psychologist - Headington

Are you keen to support students through their metal health struggles? Are you passionate about making positive change?

A rewarding opportunity has become available for a Mental Health Assistant or Aspiring Therapist in a school in Headington.

The role:

This is a great role for those looking to establish a career in the mental health industry as you would be gaining rewarding experience working with children who suffer from a range of social and emotional mental health issues. You would have the chance to shadow other professionals in the field and simultaneously learn new skills and apply them in your daily duties.

The students you would be working with struggle with social and emotional mental health issues such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and mood disorders caused by trauma, anxiety and depression. Your role as a Mental Health Assistant will revolve around providing support to these students in the school day.

The ideal candidate:

The role would suit someone who ideally has some classroom based experience but a positive attitude and great personality will go a long way! An important element of the job is ensuring the classroom is a safe and engaging environment so a patient and calm personality is a must. The role would be suitable for someone who is resilient and confident in supporting mental health needs and challenges.

This is a wonderful opportunity for those looking to make a difference, work with mental health needs and gain valuable work experience. This is also a great opportunity for aspiring therapist, counsellors or psychologists.
