ASD Teacher (Secondary)
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £130 - £180 per day
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education are currently seeking an experienced ASD Teacher to join a secondary school in Newcastle. This role is ideal for a dedicated teacher with a passion for working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the needs of students with ASD.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Work closely with support staff and other professionals to meet the needs of students.
Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching students with ASD.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for teaching and making a difference in students' lives.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Note: Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
