A warm and well-resourced SEN school in Thatcham is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to work with pupils on the autism spectrum, including students with communication difficulties and sensory needs. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive specialist setting.

Role: ASD Support Assistant
Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
Pay: £90-£105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Age Range: 5-18 yearsYour Role as an ASD Support Assistant:
Support pupils with Autism on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing
Use visual supports, structured routines, and personalised strategies
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction
Work collaboratively with Teachers, Therapists, and SEN professionalsThis ASD Support role is ideal for graduates or aspiring Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers, or SEN professionals, offering excellent hands-on experience in a specialist autism provision.
