A welcoming and inclusive Specialist School in West Berkshire is seeking a committed ASD Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with Autism and other additional needs within a structured, nurturing, and supportive school environment.
As an ASD Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who may have a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, learning difficulties, and SEMH needs.
The successful ASD Support Assistant will work alongside experienced Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and specialist support staff who are passionate about providing every pupil with the individual support they need to succeed.
This ASD Support Assistant role will involve:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism and additional needs
Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
Helping pupils engage positively with classroom activities and learning
Supporting the implementation of personalised strategies and routines
Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environmentThis ASD Support Assistant position would be ideal for someone with previous experience supporting children or young people with Autism or other Special Educational Needs.
