Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland
Salary/Benefits: £26k - £42k + Training & Benefits
A well-known Asbestos consultancy is recruiting for hardworking Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to cover sites across the Central Belt of Scotland. Our client has recently grown their client portfolio in the region, winning both commercial and domestic contracts. We are able to consider candidates with singular or dual experience, with qualifications to match. Applicants must have strong industry technical knowledge and will be able to hit the ground running. You will be joining a UKAS accredited outfit who can offer competitive salaries and benefits packages.
Locations of work include: Edinburgh, Bonnyrigg, Dalkeith, Penicuik, Livingston, Broxburn, Queensferry, Bathgate, Whitburn, Carluke, Peebles, Bo’ness, Linthlithgow, Falkirk, Cumbernauld, Shotts, Wishaw, Forth, Rosyth, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Larkhall, Bellshill, Airdrie, East Kilbride, Stirling, Lenzie, Glasgow, Giffnock, Renfrew, Barrhead, Clydebank.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, Asbestos Surveyor or Asbestos Analyst
* Will hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent for surveying
* Will hold the BOHS P403 and P404 for analytical
* Good understanding of UKAS and HSG guidelines
* Flexible to travel with company needs
* Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
The Role:
* Undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
* Collecting ACM samples and fibre counting
* Re-inspection surveys
* Carrying out 4 stage clearances, in addition to personal, smoke, reassurance, background and leak air testing
* Attending a wide range of asbestos removals projects
* Ensuring works are completed within industry safety guidelines
* Completing detailed technical reports
* Answering technical queries from clients
* Maintaining personal technical knowledge
