Asbestos Surveyor – Freelance or Permanent
Location: Midlands – Nottingham, Sheffield, Birmingham and Surrounding Areas
We are recruiting for experienced Asbestos Surveyors across the Midlands, covering Nottingham, Sheffield, Birmingham and surrounding areas.
Both freelance and permanent opportunities are available, offering varied projects across domestic, commercial and industrial environments.
The successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking asbestos surveys, identifying asbestos containing materials and producing accurate reports in accordance with current legislation and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
*
Conduct Management, Refurbishment and Demolition asbestos surveys.
*
Identify, assess and sample suspected asbestos containing materials (ACMs).
*
Complete asbestos reinspections and condition assessments where required.
*
Produce accurate survey reports, photographic records and sampling documentation.
*
Ensure compliance with HSG264, the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and relevant HSE guidance.
*
Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and site representatives.
*
Manage survey appointments efficiently and meet reporting deadlines.
*
Follow appropriate health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and RPE.
Essential Requirements
*
BOHS P402 qualification or equivalent recognised qualification.
*
Previous experience conducting asbestos surveys independently.
*
Experience undertaking Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys.
*
Sound knowledge of asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.
*
Ability to produce accurate reports and maintain detailed records.
*
Strong organisational and communication skills.
*
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
*
Experience surveying domestic, commercial and industrial properties.
*
Familiarity with asbestos surveying software.
*
Additional BOHS qualifications, including P403 or P404.
