Role: Asbestos Removal Supervisor (Licensed)
Rate: 200 a day
Site: Newcastle
Start: ASAP
Contract: Freelance 6 weeks initial (4 months' worth of work) – open to permanent options also
The Opportunity
Licensed Asbestos Supervisor to step in as someone hands in their notice. With major demolition and remediation schemes underway, they need a supervisor who can take control of licensed works, keep standards tight, and support a team that prides itself on doing things properly.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Running licensed asbestos removal operations day‑to‑day.
* Ensuring all paperwork, enclosures, and procedures are spot‑on — licence is precious and must be protected.
* Leading operatives and maintaining discipline and safety.
* Using Asure360 for all asbestos documentation and SharePoint for wider project control.
* Working closely with Contract Managers and Ops Directors, with catch‑ups at the office.
* Supporting directly‑employed teams — Client prefers to retain and develop their own people when they can.
What You Need
* Licensed Asbestos Supervisor qualification.
* CAT A training + relevant cards.
* SMSTS or SSSTS (nice to have).
* Experience on large, complex asbestos jobs
