Shift and schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift + Overtime + Weekend availability
Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing asbestos consultancy, that offers a comprehensive range of asbestos services to clients from a wide range of sectors. We are currently looking for a competent and focused Asbestos Lab Analyst to join our busy laboratory in Leicester. The ideal candidate will be P401 qualified and have prior experience preparing and carrying out the analysis of samples for asbestos fibre content. The salary for this role is dependent on experience & qualifications.
Requirements and responsibilities:
• Must hold the P401 asbestos qualification, P403 and P404 would be advantageous
• To be able to work as part of a team and without close supervision.
• Be flexible, have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Have the ability to organise workload effectively.
• Previous experience working within a laboratory environment and within the asbestos field is essential.
• Demonstrate good attention to detail.
• Have a can-do attitude to work.
• Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory. Preparing and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.
• Completing analysis test sheets as and when required, and within the required time frame.
• Getting involved with other ad hoc duties.
Working hours would be 38 hours per week with the option of working overtime and weekends.
