Person Specification:
• BOHS P403, BOHS P404 essential or equivalent
• Experience of undertaking asbestos surveys and air monitoring
• Familiarity of working for a UKAS accredited company
• Experience of using hand held data collectors is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
• A full UK driving license
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• IT/Computer Literate
• The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
• A good eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure
• The desire to maximise their full potential through further training and site based experience
Responsibilities:
• Conduct, airborne fibre monitoring, fibre counting and clearance works
• Begin to develop skills and experience to conduct high level consultancy, client advice on managing asbestos in estates and properties
• Gain and maintain knowledge of all current Asbestos, health and safety and CDM regulations.
• To ensure the technical compliance of all work that is carried out and to liaise closely with the Technical Director.
• Ensure that all asbestos related work is carried out in accordance with company Asbestos Quality and Procedures Manual and associated documentation.
• Attend operational team meetings as and when required.
• Ensure that reports are completed in accordance with timescales set and to the required standard.
• Participate in the internal and external audit programme for fibre counting, bulk sampling (if approved), surveying and airborne fibre monitoring as required.
• Compile recommendations and technically review reports as necessary.
• To be alert to business opportunities and promote the services of the group, identify inter-company sales opportunities and pass leads
• Attend training courses as and when required
