Art Teacher - Tameside - Maternity Cover

A dedicated and passionate Art Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Tameside, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 & 4 from easter, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for a year on a full-time basis.

This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Tameside teachers.

You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. This school teaches GCSE and has a key focus on build knowledge throughout KS3 and KS4. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way, in tandem with AfL.

A secondary school with 'Good' Behaviour and attitudes and Personal development which breeds a great environment to learn and thrive. Pupils enjoy school. There is a large range of clubs and activities, such as dance, debating and sports. Pupils relish taking on leadership roles where they can make a difference, such as school councillors, prefects and dance - club leaders. They benefit from the opportunity to take part in visits and trips. Pupils behave well in lessons and during social times. Pupils learn about the importance of respecting differences between people. Most pupils have positive relationships with each other and their teachers.

Minimum rate of pay - from £153.85 per day

Hours - 8:30am - 4pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree educated with a good classification.

Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc)

Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)

Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)

Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)

Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80.

Provide a minimum of two professional references.
