About the role
Connex Education is working with a Secondary School in the Redcar area who are recruiting for a Art Teacher to work full- time during term time. The role is due to commence from September and will be for the full academic year.
The Art teacher role is based in a large multi-academy trust secondary school . As a supply Art teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to secondary school students across Key Stages 3-4. You will deliver lessons that align with the national curriculum and school schemes of work, employ a range of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles, and manage practical Art activities in a safe manner. Excellent subject knowledge, classroom management skills, and the ability to foster a positive learning environment are essential for the successful applicant.

Person Specification
Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
PGCE in Art or related subject from a recognized provider
You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
Have experience teaching Art in a UK secondary school setting.
Be able to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 DT lessons across ability ranges.
Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
