Starting Date: September 2024, Long-term Contract with Potential for Permanent Placement

Salary: Competitive (£140-£215 per day, based on experience)

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30, Full-time position

Overview: Are you passionate about art education and dedicated to nurturing the creative talents of young learners? We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our dynamic team at a Secondary School in Farnborough.

About the Role: We are currently seeking a dynamic Art Teacher to join our Secondary School in Farnborough on a full-time, long-term contract starting from September 2024. As part of our supportive department, you will be responsible for teaching Art to students in KS3 and KS4, delivering inspiring and innovative lessons to cultivate their artistic skills and appreciation for visual arts. Both experienced Art Teachers and Early Career Teachers with a passion for creative education are welcome to apply.

About the School: Located in Farnborough, Hampshire, the Secondary School serves students aged 11 to 16. With a student body of approximately 950 students, we prioritize high teaching standards and foster a friendly and collaborative environment among our staff. Our school values the professional development and well-being of our team, offering ample support and free parking on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging art lessons across different age groups and skill levels.
Teach various aspects of art, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and art history.
Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment to inspire students' creativity and self-expression.
Organize and curate art exhibitions, showcases, and projects to celebrate students' artistic achievements.
Provide guidance and support to students preparing for art exams, portfolio submissions, and future endeavors in the arts.
Requirements:

Qualified Art teacher with relevant teaching qualifications and experience.
Proficiency in various art mediums and techniques, with a strong foundation in art theory and history.
Passion for art education and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in leading art clubs, workshops, or community art initiatives is desirable.
