Art Teacher

Are you passionate about art and committed to inspiring the next generation of artists? Our secondary schools in Chelmsford are seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join our team starting in September 2024.

As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic lessons in art, fostering creativity and artistic skills among students. You will play a pivotal role in guiding students through their artistic journey, helping them develop both technical abilities and a deeper appreciation for the visual arts.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in art, catering to a range of abilities and learning styles.
Encourage and support students in developing their artistic skills and expressing their creativity.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.
Maintain a stimulating and organized learning environment, ensuring all art materials and equipment are used safely.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the art curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities, such as art clubs and exhibitions.
Ideal Candidate:

Strong background in art, with relevant teaching qualifications and experience.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Art.
Proven experience teaching art at the secondary school level.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to art activities.
