About the Role

Cover People are currently recruiting for an Art & Design Teacher to join a supportive and creative secondary school in Manchester, starting from September 2026 for a full term as a minimum.

This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators to inspire and engage students across KS3 and KS4. ECTs will benefit from a supportive induction and mentoring programme, while experienced teachers will have the opportunity to contribute to a thriving and collaborative department.

M1–M6 Teachers will be paid to scale from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Art & Design teaching in line with national curriculum standards
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and GCSE Art & Design
Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
Support the academic and personal development of all learners
Contribute positively to department planning and wider school initiatives

Requirements

QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
Experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Art & Design
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A passion for teaching and pupil progress
Right to work in the UK
