Art & Design Lecturer (0.6 FTE)

Location: Newcastle College, Newcastle upon Tyne
Contract: Temporary (ASAP Start – Initially until October Half Term)
Hours: 0.6 FTE (Approximately 3 days per week)

The Supply Register is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and creative Art & Design Lecturer to join Newcastle College on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lecturer or an individual with teaching experience looking to make a real difference within Further Education.

The Role

As an Art & Design Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that motivate learners to develop their creative skills and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering high-quality Art & Design lessons.
Planning and preparing engaging learning activities.
Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
Supporting students to achieve their academic and personal goals.
Maintaining accurate learner records.
Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.

What We're Looking For

A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) or previous experience teaching Art & Design.
Experience delivering Art & Design within a Further Education, Secondary or Higher Education setting is desirable.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A passion for supporting learners and inspiring creativity.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
