Location: Midlands
Salary Range: up to £45k + OTE

About the Role: This is an entrepreneurial business in which you will have to think on your feet. Therefore, someone who enjoys a busy day, and wishes to become the key HVAC partner in the area will do well.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote sales of a range of products and build effective relationships with HEVAC contractors through planned targeting of existing and potential customers/clients.
* After learning procedures, systems and product offering, the salesperson will begin to canvass suitable contractors specifically targeting new business opportunities.
* Engage and interact with client decision makers to identify new and emerging business opportunities. Establish informal rapport with customers to obtain market intelligence on prevalent competitive pricing policies, additions/deletions to product offerings, or special promotions intended/currently in vogue.
* Achieve sales turnover targets agreed for the territory/assigned customer group (exceeding these levels wherever possible) with optimum gross margins adhering to company policies on discount procedures.
* To speak positively and enthusiastically about the company and its products and services to ensure that a professional company and brand image is provided at all times to customers and colleagues.
* In ALL instances where special pricing needs to be quoted to meet competitive or customer pressures, prior approval must be sought from the Northern Divisional Manager.
* Provide a constantly improved quality of Customer Service by maintaining regular contact with personal visits, telephone and written communications.
* Be responsible for day-to-day management of customer accounts, as directed by the Northern Divisional Manager.
* Provide entertainment/hospitality to develop and maintain good customer relationships, recognizing that some events will occur outside normal working hours.
* Ensure speedy response to each and every customer enquiry - in consultation with the Northern Divisional Manager whenever required to do so.
* Support the role of Internal Sales and/or the Branch upon direction from the Northern Divisional Manager whenever required to do so.
* Maintain complete familiarity with the computer link to head-office and the CRM operating system with a “hands-on” approach to ensure continuing use of modern technology in use and generation of performance data.
* Actively participate in regular sales staff meetings. Communicating any notable sales achievements and/or developments in the market or any improvements in operating methods which generate cost reduction, and/or productivity.
Skills and expertise:
* Minimum 3-5 years in a consultative sales role within HVAC / Ancillaries
* Developed consultative selling skillset, utilising active listening and questioning to fully understand.
* Strong organisational and prioritising skills.
* Polite, professional, and persuasive communication skills, able to build relationships easily.
* Focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
