The Role

Reporting to the Sales Director, this home-based role will be responsible for driving sales growth across a dedicated UK territory. The BDM, will identify new business opportunities, develop existing customer relationships, and promote a comprehensive range of abrasives, welding consumables and industrial products using a consultative sales approach.

Key Responsibilities will include:

* Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets

* Identify and secure new end-user business opportunities across the territory

* Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and customer visits

* Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and on-site customer trials

* Promote the company's range of abrasives, welding consumables and industrial products

* Convert trial activity into repeat business and long-term customer relationships

* Provide technical and commercial support on product performance and applications

* Monitor competitor activity, market trends, pricing and customer feedback

* Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline activity

* Build strong relationships with key decision makers and increase brand presence throughout the territory

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have experience within industrial sales. A background in welding, cutting, abrasives, PPE, workwear, tools, industrial consumables, industrial gases, or construction supplies would be highly advantageous. The ideal individual will demonstrate a proven track record of delivering sales growth, securing and developing key accounts, & identifying new business opportunities, supported by strong commercial awareness, relationship-building skills, & the ability to manage a territory independently while achieving sales targets.

Key Skills Required Include:

* Previous external sales experience within industrial or technical markets

* Experience selling welding, cutting, abrasives, PPE, workwear, tools, industrial consumables, industrial gases, or construction supplies

* Proven ability to win new business and develop existing customer accounts

* Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills

* Commercial awareness, including an understanding of margins, profitability, logistics, and sales budget management

* Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing a sales territory independently
