Area Repairs Manager
Salary: £59,000
Location: Hybrid (with one day a week in the office)
The role
Reporting to the Property Director, you will be required to effectively oversee contracts for responsive repairs and void works, ensuring that services delivered are customer focussed and delivered to agreed budgets.
* Effectively manage and develop the team, ensuring that services are delivered in a customer focussed way including engaging with customers about our services.
* Ensure responsive repair contracts are meeting contractual KPIs and poor performance is challenged and addressed.
* Develop and set the regional responsive repairs and voids budgets and deliver the service within agreed budgets.
* Plan and oversee procurement of long-term contracts, instructing external expertise as required.
* Write and review policies and procedures for planned, responsive and void management services.
* Effectively manage void properties to ensure repair works are planned and undertaken swiftly and the properties are re-let.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
* Excellent people management skills with proven experience of managing a team.
* Experience of overseeing contracts in a repairs or planned maintenance environment.
* Experience in surveying and diagnosing complex building defects.
* Excellent IT skills with the ability to analyse data and communicate findings.
* Knowledge and experience of the social housing sector specifically property services
