Architect / Chartered Architectural Technologist
Location: East Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Major Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a growing architectural practice seeking an experienced Architect or Chartered Architectural Technologist.
This opportunity suits someone with a strong architectural practice background, particularly in designing and delivering new-build homes and residential extensions. You’ll take ownership of projects from the initial client meeting through planning, technical design and construction.
The practice’s varied portfolio includes bespoke homes, residential developments, extensions, commercial projects and listed buildings.
Your responsibilities

Lead projects from the initial brief and concept design through to completion on site.

Prepare planning applications, Building Regulations packages, detailed construction drawings and specifications.
*
Produce AutoCAD drawings, 3D visualisations and presentations that communicate designs clearly.
*
Coordinate clients, consultants and contractors, resolving design and construction queries.
*
Undertake contract administration and site inspections, maintaining quality throughout delivery.
What we’re looking for
*
An ARB-registered Architect or Chartered Architectural Technologist holding MCIAT membership.
*
Demonstrable architectural practice experience designing and delivering new-build houses and residential extensions.
*
Confidence managing projects independently through design and construction.
*
Strong AutoCAD skills, construction detailing expertise and Building Regulations knowledge.
*
Experience communicating with clients, coordinating consultants and supporting projects on site.
SketchUp, Twinmotion or similar visualisation software would be advantageous. Listed building and conservation experience would also be welcomed.
