Architectural Assistant
Southampton
£16.62 per hour
We are recruiting for an Architectural Assistant to join a busy in-house Design Services team within a local authority in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has completed a Degree in Architecture (RIBA Part 1) and is working towards RIBA Part 2, looking to gain valuable experience across a diverse portfolio of public sector projects. Working alongside qualified architects and a multi-disciplinary design team, you will contribute to projects from concept through to completion, supporting the delivery of high-quality architectural services across a range of Council clients.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of professional architectural services across a variety of projects and RIBA work stages.
Produce drawings, specifications, contract documentation, reports, schedules and presentation materials.
Prepare CAD drawings, BIM models and 3D visualisations where required.
Contribute to design development for projects ranging from small refurbishments to major developments.
Assist with site analysis, design coordination and project documentation.
Support compliance with CDM 2015, Building Regulations, Health & Safety and Council procedures.
Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, Building Control and Planning teams.
Manage your workload effectively, maintaining project records, timesheets and filing systems.
