Architect : Carlisle, Cumbria

MacArthur Recruitment is looking for an experienced Architect to work for a successful Architecture practice in Carlisle. This is a forward-thinking organisation which actively contributes to a sustainable future. They have great staff retention figures along with a friendly and open office. They also provide a diversity of project types and industries where you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle – from the technical beginning and detailed design, through to customer interactions, site visits and project completion.

They are working towards all their projects being net zero in the next few years and are fully committed to this. Most of their work comes from repeat customers or recommendations.

Key responsibilities and experience required for the role of Architect :

* Delivering projects from initial design to completion

* All round architectural skills

* Demonstrable experience in design

* Competency in Revit and BIM (preferred) and AutoCAD / Autodesk suite, and Microsoft Office

* Managing building projects and working with contractors and clients

* Detailed knowledge of sustainable building design and specification of materials would be a bonus

* Technical knowledge of current UK legislation (Planning and Building Regulations)

* Confident, friendly and efficient and will be expected to work both independently as well as part of the existing dynamic and energetic team.

Qualifications for the role of Architect :

* Architectural qualification – ideally qualified to RIBA Part 3 or equivalent experience

* Have a recognised professional qualification ideally ie ARB, RIBA, CIAT
