Approved Electrician – Industrial Project
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Pay Rate: £25–£27 per hour
Contract: Minimum 3 months
Job Description
We are currently recruiting an Approved Electrician for an industrial project based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. This is a minimum three-month contract, suited to an experienced electrician with a strong industrial background.
Candidates who are willing to travel and work away from home are particularly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Installing electrical containment systems.
Installing trunking and cable tray.
Carrying out electrical terminations.
Completing industrial electrical installation work.
Following site health and safety procedures and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Requirements
Valid ECS Gold Card with Approved Electrician grading, or recognised equivalent.
Relevant Level 3 electrical qualification, such as an NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation) or an approved equivalent.
Current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations qualification (18th Edition).
Recognised Inspection and Testing qualification, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
At least two years' experience working as a qualified electrician after completing the required training.
Valid DBS check.
Previous industrial electrical experience.
Experience with containment, trunking, cable tray and electrical terminations.
Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
The Approved Electrician grade requires the relevant electrician qualifications, post-qualification experience and demonstrated inspection and testing competence.
