BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an Application Support Analyst. The position will involve a mixture of working from home and working out of any UK&I Office location, travel will be required to the London, Camberly and Hemel Hempstead offices.

Your mission

• Provide customer focused technical support including diagnosing problems, researching solutions, and implementing appropriate fixes, which may include ‘out of hours’ work.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and working practices and where appropriate, promote the use of the latest techniques, technologies or tools.
• Ensure system changes are tested, documented and approved before they are released into production environments.
• Work collaboratively with the change management team to ensure software releases are controlled and structured, with minimal risk to the user community.
• Management of incidents and service requests, whilst delivering against Service Level Agreement targets.
• Management of admin/maintenance tasks and project work using Agile framework.
• Create and maintain documentation for support processes and solutions, including creating knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with 3rd party support teams to resolve complex technical problems and/or implement fixes, upgrades, etc.
• Work in an Agile way

Who are we looking for?

•Commercial experience in a customer-facing role, providing technical support for “Commercial Off-the-Shelf”, SaaS and internally developed applications.
•Knowledge of coding principles.
•Knowledge of relational database concepts and T-SQL.
•Experience in release management, quality assurance, testing, deploying, maintaining, updating/upgrading in-house developed and “Commercial Off-the-Shelf” applications.
•Experience of working with ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM tool.
•A proactive approach to problem-solving technical and process issues.
•Great verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical topics in non-technical terms.
•Collaborative, tactful, diplomatic and customer focused.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Desirable:
•ITIL Foundation certification.
•Experience of performance testing, CI/CD and automation tools.
•Experience of working in an Agile way and using boards, repos, pipelines, etc. on Azure DevOps, e.g. in a multi-functional DevOps team, delivering systems and services using Kanban, Scrum, etc.
•Experience of working in the Construction / Engineering Industry
