We are looking for a talented Application Developer with strong Microsoft Power Apps and data engineering skills to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating robust and scalable applications.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Developer with expertise in Microsoft Power Apps and data engineering to design, develop, and maintain business applications that meet the needs of our organization. As part of our technical team and Reporting to the Head of Data Platforms, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to translate business requirements into functional applications.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop custom business applications using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and related technologies.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

* Create and maintain documentation for applications, including design specifications, user manuals, and training materials.

* Integrate Power Apps solutions with other Microsoft products, such as SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Azure.

* Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Power Apps applications, including troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements.

* Ensure applications are secure, scalable, and comply with best practices and industry standards.

* Utilize data engineering skills to design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data models, and data integration processes.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Microsoft Power Platform and other relevant technologies.

* Train and mentor junior developers on the team to enhance their skills and knowledge in Power Apps and data engineering development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

* Proven experience as an Application Developer with a strong focus on Microsoft Power Apps.

* Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate (Flow), Power BI, and related Microsoft technologies.

* Strong understanding of relational databases, including SQL Server, and experience with data modelling.

* Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

* Microsoft Power Platform certifications, including PL-900, PL-100 and PL-400

* Microsoft data engineering certifications, including DP-900 and DP-203.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other low-code/no-code platforms. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA.
