Animal Carer/Trainer

Full time 37.5 hours per week

08:00-16:00 5 days on, 2 days of, 4 days on 3 days off (Including weekends and bank holidays)

What you will be doing!

There is no need to be a dog or cat handler extraordinaire, all necessary training is given to you when you start. But a passion for animals is a must.
A unit specialist's primary purpose is to deliver research data, collecting data or biological samples from our pets (for example faeces or urine) with Health and Safety at the forefront of everything.
Provide care for our dogs and cats through animal husbandry and training, using positive reinforcement.
Working safely and to a high quality are our priorities. As part of this, you will be expected to actively identify and propose improvements to what we do and how we do it.
Planning your day-to-day tasks effectivelyExperience:

Experience of working without supervision in a fast-paced environment where you can adapt, as part of a team is essential.Requirements:

Own transport is essential due to location as cannot be reached by public transport.
Successful applicants will need to undergo security checks and undertake a medical on-site with the Occupational Health Advisor.
You will be starting on a paid 2 or 4 week training schedule Monday - Friday 8-4 pm.Benefits:
