Rate: £450-£499 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Reading / PaddingtonOnsite ex days per month in Reading, plus 2 days per month in Paddington (Tuesday-Thursday)

About the Role

I'm looking for a skilled Data Access PCRF Policy Designer to help shape the policy control and charging capabilities that underpin 5G, 4G, and 3G mobile data services.You will be responsible for designing and developing Data Access Policy platforms and interfaces that support next-generation mobile data experiences. You'll play a key role in building a fully 5G Standalone-ready control plane, centred on 3GPP-compliant PCF, PCRF, and UDR platforms.This includes defining interfaces to BSS and OCS systems and ensuring policies are designed to be both effective and efficient. Your work will directly support customer experience and revenue optimisation across the network.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the design of cloud-native PCF, PCRF, and UDR platforms for 5G, 4G, and 3G, including full 5G Standalone capability
Translate business requirements for new products and services into cost-effective technical solutions
Lead technical engagement with internal stakeholders including Operations Support, Test, WLT, Marketing, Revenue Assurance, Service Management, and the TSA security team
Work proactively within virtual teams to help deliver best-in-class services
Continuously develop your knowledge to ensure the network remains at the forefront of technologyKey Skills, Experience & Behaviours

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Proven technical expertise in PCRF platform architecture, including strong experience with Diameter interfaces
Solid working knowledge of 5G Standalone architecture and interfaces
Deep understanding of PCRF policy design to support both current and future data product needs
Good knowledge of BSS provisioning architecture and subscriber management for PCRF/UDR databases
Strong technical grounding in cloud-native and VNF platform architecture and deployment
A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to approach design challenges from the end-user's perspectiveInterested in Applying?
