The role

Orbit are delighted to announce that we are looking to recruit an experienced people manager into the newly created position of Analytics Manager. In this role you will manage the Reporting Team, within the central Data and Analytics Team, to provide the organisation with business insight, analytics capability, and expertise to support the delivery of the Data Strategy. You will provide leadership on the data analysis, visualisation and testing techniques applied in the central Data and Analytics team. 

This role is part of Corporate Services where you'll help us give colleagues the support they need to be brilliant.

What you'll achieve

In this role you will engage with internal stakeholders to understand, coordinate, and prioritise business insight reporting and analytical requirements ensuring delivery achieves agreed requirements and business benefit.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Deliver data solutions from reporting team members and co-ordination of the teams’ day-to-day activities providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders as required.

Support the implementation and expansion of the Power BI Virtual team working closely with Senior Power BI developer.

Work closely with the Data Engineering, Architecture and Data Quality teams within the wider Data and Analytics function to ensure smooth delivery of business requirements and end to end delivery of data solutions.

Implement and embed best practice for data analysis, visualisations and report testing within the reporting team.

Review processes in the Reporting team and apply process improvements to ensure the team work effectively with data security integral to all processes.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience managing a team and have working knowledge of key Business Insight tools including Power BI and Excel.

Essential skills

Demonstrable understanding of how to deliver end to end reporting and analytical processes to achieve stakeholder requirements.

Experience delivering and implementing best practice for data analysis and visualisations within a reporting function.

Excellent organisational and project management skills

Experience of providing insight-based analysis

Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage across a range of organisational levels.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable skills

Experience of utilising Microsoft DevOps to support the delivery of agile sprint activity
