About the Role:
We are excited to announce a brand-new opening for an Analytics Engineer. In this dynamic role, you will research and implement analytical solutions to consumer and retail business problems, leveraging your coding skills and the latest technologies to analyse rich transactional data sets from across the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop Analytical Products: Create products that embed analytical solutions into aesthetically pleasing, web-based tools.
* Stay Current: Keep up to date with the latest methods and technologies through active participation in meetups and technical discussion groups.
* Innovate: Proactively explore and improve technologies and methodologies to enhance the analytical standards throughout the analytics platform.
* Agile Working: Operate nimbly within an agile and fast-paced team environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Educational Background: A university degree (2:1 or higher) in a numerate or statistics discipline.
* SQL Proficiency: Deep knowledge of SQL is essential.
* Statistical Modelling: Experienced user of R, Python, or other statistical modelling software.
* Technological Expertise: Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, and Git.
* Machine Learning: Experience in applying machine learning techniques to large consumer databases is highly desirable.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Demonstrated success in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth, issue-free execution of projects.
Desirable Experience:
* Retail Data Analytics: Previous experience working with retail data in an analytical function.
* Fast-paced Environment: Experience working in a fast-paced team or lean start-up.
* Dashboard Development: Experience in building dashboards using tools such as Tableau.
