Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a well established business operating in the subsea/ offshore industry, with their appointment of an Analysis Engineer to join thier technical team.

The role will strengthen the Engineering Department and duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

* Work as part of the engineering team to identify customer analysis requirements and develop solutions to engineering problems.

* Lead and monitor analysis on live projects to ensure key deliverables met on time.

* Contribute towards the ongoing continuous improvement of analysis techniques.

* Reviewing client proposals – recognising client requirements and identifying the most appropriate analysis to meet their needs.

* Preparing and reviewing analysis input data – liaising with clients, internal engineering team including the analysis team to ensure the most appropriate data is available and utilised.

* Building and developing analysis models and methodologies.

* Reviewing and checking OrcaFlex analysis models built by engineering team.

* Running simulations and interpreting results.

* Writing and reviewing reports.

* Supporting product development and R&D activity

* Liaison with Test Functions and supporting Engineering team to develop test plans and reports

Required experience

* Experience using design FEA analysis tools such as ANSYS, Abacus

* Experience of using Orcaflex

* Experience of a range of analysis methods

* Experience of 3D CAD for design

* Experience of ideally Subsea engineering within Offshore wind farms, or suitable related industry such as marine, oil and Gas etc.

* Experience of Subsea umbilicals, riser, flowlines (SURF) and or power cables

* Experience working in a modern manufacturing environment with understanding of production processes and relation to the products being designed and analysed

* Knowledge of lean principles applied in both a manufacturing and design engineering function to support ongoing development of the analysis function and wider organisation.

* Experience testing and correlation of result to computational analysis
