To ensure all vehicles are always driven safely and economically and in line with Trust policy, bearing in mind that the vehicles are easily identified as belonging to the Trust.
To carry out extended road tests of vehicles during both collection and delivery to ensure the vehicles are ready for use by the trust.

* To deliver and collect Trust vehicles between Trust sites and external sites/agents.
* To undertake extended road tests of vehicles after either a Trust workshop or other vehicle repairer has been undertaken prior to them going back into service.
* To undertake ‘Vehicle Checks’ on each vehicle driven to ensure it has legal tyres, functioning lights, sufficient oil and coolant, and fuel for the journey being completed, by Trust Policy.
* Able to reactively plan the working day based on operational requirements and changes to pre[1]planned work.
* To report any defects that arise during the collection, delivery or road test to either the Trust Workshop Supervisors, Workshop Manager or Fleet Admin team, before the vehicle being handed over to the user of that vehicle.
* To represent the Trust and drive in such a manner that reflects the type of vehicle that they will be expected to drive, e.g., an A&E Double Staffed Ambulance (DSA).
* To be responsible for the safekeeping of any fuel card or mobile phone issued to the individual during their period of work and to return such items before the end of their duty. To report as soon as practicable any loss or theft of such items immediately to the Bank Driver co-ordinator or the Fleet Admin and Compliance Manager.

* Must be willing to register with Your World Recruitment (as compliance must be held to commence employment if successful).
