Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit an Air Traffic Control Trainer on a permanent basis due to growth located at their Shawbury depot. You will be responsible to the Officer Commanding Defence College of Air and Space Operations (DCASO) for training, developing, and preparing future Air Operations (Control) personnel

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide a CRS signature when appropriate to release an aircraft to service after either defect rectification or scheduled maintenance.
Supervise engineering and Flight Line activity on Company aircraft and associated equipment in conformity with authorised schedules.
Undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the Aircraft fleet to ensure airworthiness is maintained to meet customer requirements on a daily basis.
Undertake or supervise as directed, the investigation, diagnosis and rectification of defects and submission of reports as required complete “all” documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

You will need previous military Terminal controlling experience, ideally within the last 5 years.
You will need to be qualified in accordance with JSP 822.
You will need to provide training in accordance with the DCASO Training Quality Manual.
You will need to maintain and contribute to a positive learning environment which develops the confidence of all trainees.
Defence Train Course.
Recent experience of providing Terminal Air Traffic Services in UK airspace under the Military Aviation Authority 3000 Series Regulations.
Recent trainer experience in an ATC training environment that is deemed acceptable to the customer.
