Air Import Coordinator - Hayes - £34,000
Our client, who are a international freight forwarder are currently seeking an Air Import Freight Coordinator to join their team on a 6-month temp contract.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday - 09:00AM to 17:30PM
Job Tasks, Responsibilities, Requirements:
Liaising with airlines, agents, customers and origin offices, to arrange the smooth handling of shipments.
Arranging collections for freight from the airline, arranging deliveries to customers and completing invoicing.
Dealing with customs queries whilst supporting the customs team.
Liaise with different branches to arrange their trucking requirements and manage the inbound Air Freight.
Work in a compliant manner by following set out procedures.
Computer literate with basic knowledge of Excel, Word. Preferred but not essential AS400, Outlook and ASM Sequoia
Ability to communicate effectively.
Be able to work accurately with good attention to detail.
Ability to plan, execute and complete a given task within a specified timeframe.
Self-initiative.
Be able to work as part of a team.
Understand requirements and operational procedures
Good organisation skills
Problem-solving and Leadership skills.
Good understanding of CHIEF/CDS entries for Import and Export
