Air Freight Export Clerk

Description:

We have a vacancy for an experienced Freight Export Clerk with a background in either Road, Sea, or Air Freight to join a leading global provider of cargo handling services at London Gatwick Airport (RH6).

Due to the location and shift you must have your own transport for this role.

As an Air Freight Export Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately processing export freight ensuring all procedures are followed per the company standards.

This role operates on a 4 on 4 off fixed shift pattern which consists of 2 days (Apply online only)) followed by 2 nights (1800 – 0600).

The Financial remuneration for this Air Freight Export Clerk position:

• Basic salary of £28,828.54 - £(phone number removed) per annum (dep on industry exp).
• Shift allowance between £2620.72 - £5252.22 per annum.

Responsibilities of the Air Freight Export Clerk:

• Process of imports & exports operations for multiple airline customers.
• Using customer operating systems to complete export & import flights.
• Booking of freight from forwarders/airlines/trucking companies at reception.
• Ensuring all customs and Civil Aviation Authority regulations are adhered to.
• Dealing with customer queries regarding their shipments.
• Processing of flights within customer airline service level agreements.
• DG checks as and when DG cert (CAT6) is achieved.

The ideal Air Freight Export Clerk will have the following skills and experience:

• A minimum of 2+ years of freight industry experience from a road, sea or air freight environment.
• Experience using ABS (Airport Bureau Systems), Cargo Spot, or similar cargo handling software.
• A good understanding of freight export movements.
