Air Conditioning Service Engineer

We are recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join a growing HVAC business covering Birmingham, the Midlands and surrounding areas.

This is a field-based service and maintenance position working across a range of commercial and larger domestic air conditioning systems. The successful Air Conditioning Service Engineer will be responsible for planned maintenance, reactive fault finding and repairs while providing customers with a reliable and professional service.

The company has a growing HVAC operation and offers an excellent package including door-to-door travel, overtime and an annual performance bonus.

The Role
As an Air Conditioning Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Planned servicing and maintenance of split, multi-split and VRF air conditioning systems
Responding to reactive breakdowns and diagnosing system faults
Completing repairs and working towards a first-time fix
Carrying out quoted system repairs
Working across commercial HVAC equipment
Supporting installation and commissioning work when required
Completing accurate service reports and associated documentation
Following Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
Providing professional customer support on site
Assisting with site handovers and demonstrations when required
The Air Conditioning Service Engineer will manage a mobile workload throughout Birmingham and the wider Midlands.

What We're Looking For
The successful Air Conditioning Service Engineer will ideally have:

City & Guilds Level 2 F-Gas or equivalent
Previous air conditioning service and maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of split, multi-split and VRF systems
Good HVAC fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
Commercial air conditioning experience
Experience commissioning systems would be advantageous
Knowledge of AHUs and ventilation systems would be beneficial
Relevant electrical knowledge for HVAC work would be advantageous
Full UK driving licence
Strong customer-facing skills
Ability to work independently
Additional qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS or electrical qualifications would be advantageous but aren't essential.

Package
The successful Air Conditioning Service Engineer will receive:

£34,000-£52,000, depending on experience and qualifications
Annual performance bonus
Overtime at time and a half
Door-to-door travel time paid

Work planned approximately 2-3 weeks in advance
