Job Title: Air Conditioning Engineer
Location: DVLA Swansea Estate
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 8am – 5pm, with 1 week of nights every 4 weeks
Reporting To: Contract Manager

Purpose of the Job: The Air Conditioning Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive air conditioning and general HVAC tasks. This includes utilizing core skills to provide exceptional service to CBRE and its clients, assisting with additional tasks to meet SLA timescales, and ensuring adherence to all Health and Safety procedures as per CBRE QHSE guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize, assist, and undertake reactive and PPM tasks, call-out responses, and repairs of all air conditioning and HVAC tasks within contractual timescales.

Identify opportunities for additional works within and outside specified contractual requirements.

Complete all work-related documentation accurately and timely, exceeding customer expectations.

Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Participate fully in training and appraisal activities as required.

Undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.

Deliver services in accordance with CBRE procedures and policies.

Assist in the efficient and effective operation, maintenance, and repair of the site’s M&E Plant and Equipment and Services.

Ensure compliance with CBRE Quality Management Systems and maintain all associated COSHH documentation.

Participate in the Call Out System as required.

Represent CBRE to the highest standards in client meetings, reporting back any actions timely.

Work according to the shift pattern to suit current requirements, including 1 week of nights every 4 weeks.

Utilize Help Desk and PPM systems to ensure service delivery.

Accountabilities:

1. Report to the Contract Manager.

2. Be accountable to the relevant client contacts.

3. Maintain CBRE & SSL logbooks up to date.

4. Follow all CBRE QHSE procedures and use the A-Z CBRE rules where required.

Person Specification:

Education:

* Good basic education with good written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills.

* Recognized technical qualifications such as City & Guilds Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

Training:

* Mechanical experience.

* Knowledge of other building services (advantageous).

* FGas qualified.

* City & Guilds Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

Experience:

* Essential: Working to Planned Preventative Maintenance Regimes, knowledge of lone working requirements, previous fabric experience, COSHH, and previous Chiller Maintenance experience including humidification management units.

* Desirable: Experience with general Building Management Systems, Mechanical & Electrical experience, Risk Assessment training, HVAC related qualifications, and 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.

Aptitudes:

* Good verbal communication skills at all levels.

* Good written English skills.

* Ability to acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge of a building's operation and services.

* Ability to work outside of discipline and represent values.

* High standard of housekeeping.

Character:

* Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

* Ability to liaise directly with clients, managers, and Heads of Departments, and action their requirements to agreed standards.

* Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.

* Physically fit, able to carry tools and components, ascend/descend vertical access equipment, and work at height.

* Team player with the ability to work on own initiative.

Circumstances:

* Flexible regarding working hours.

* Available to join a call-out rota.

* Willing to travel between sites at reasonable notice.

* Driving license essential.

* Willing to carry out reasonable management requests
