Role: HVAC & Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £42,000 - £46,000 + Overtime + Benefits (DOE)
Omega are supporting a well-established HVAC and refrigeration business in their search for an experienced HVAC & Refrigeration Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with over 25 years of industry experience, delivering installation, service, and maintenance solutions across commercial and industrial environments including healthcare, education, and manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities - HVAC & Refrigeration Engineer
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and installation of air conditioning systems
Service and maintain refrigeration equipment across a range of commercial and industrial sites
Install, commission, and repair ducted HVAC systems
Diagnose faults and undertake repairs in a timely and professional manner
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and industry standards
Complete service reports and required documentation accurately
Work independently to manage workloads while supporting wider engineering teams when required
Maintain excellent client relationships through high standards of service delivery
Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and company procedures
Requirements - HVAC & Refrigeration Engineer
Essential:
F-Gas Certification 2079 - Minimum Level 1 and Level 2
Minimum 5 years' experience within the HVAC and refrigeration industry
Experience working on air conditioning, refrigeration, and ducted systems
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
Desirable:
Experience working within commercial and industrial environments
Knowledge of healthcare, education, or manufacturing sector requirements
Additional HVAC or mechanical qualifications
Experience with installation and commissioning works
