Air Conditioning Engineer
We are recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established and expanding engineering company providing commercial HVAC services to customers across the UK.
The successful Air Conditioning Engineer will primarily cover Manchester, the North West and surrounding areas, travelling directly from home to customer sites. There may also be occasional travel further afield depending on customer requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with more than 30 years' experience and an established nationwide engineering operation.
Air Conditioning Engineer Role
As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, repairing and installing a wide range of commercial air conditioning systems.
Responsibilities will include:
Responding to service and breakdown calls
Testing and servicing commercial air conditioning equipment
Diagnosing faults and completing repairs
Working on split and multi-split systems
Servicing and repairing VRV/VRF systems
Working with water chillers
Carrying out installations when required
Providing customers with technical advice and support
Completing work efficiently and to a high standard
Reporting to the Technical Service Manager
Travelling to customer sites as required
Air Conditioning Engineer Requirements
The successful Air Conditioning Engineer will need to be an experienced commercial HVAC professional with strong service, maintenance, repair and installation capabilities.
You will ideally have:
F-Gas Category 1
NVQ Level 2 and/or Level 3 or equivalent
Strong commercial air conditioning experience
Previous service and maintenance experience
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Air conditioning installation experience
Experience with split systems
Experience with VRV/VRF systems
Experience working with water chillers
Electrical knowledge would be advantageous
Good communication and customer-facing skills
Ability to work independently as a mobile engineer
Willingness to travel when required
Air Conditioning Engineer Salary & Benefits
The successful Air Conditioning Engineer will receive:
£45,000-£55,000 basic salary
