Are you an experienced agricultural professional with a strong background in livestock and practical farming looking to step away from industry and move into education?

Do you want to use the experience you've built throughout your career to train the next generation of farmers, while gaining full teacher training, enjoying an excellent work-life balance and benefiting from significantly more time off?

This organisation is a leading specialist land-based education provider with excellent facilities including a fully operational farm and extensive practical learning environments. They are committed to developing the next generation of agricultural professionals and invest heavily in their staff, facilities and training.

In this role, you'll use your practical agricultural and livestock experience to teach and develop learners aged 16-19. You'll deliver a mixture of hands-on practical training and classroom-based learning, covering areas such as livestock management, general farm practices and modern agricultural techniques. You'll also support a group of learners throughout their programme, helping them develop the practical skills, knowledge and behaviours they'll need to progress into the agricultural industry.

The ideal candidate will come from a hands-on farming or agricultural background with strong livestock experience and hold a relevant Level 3 agricultural qualification or above. You could currently be a Farmer, Farm Manager, Assistant Farm Manager, Herdsperson, Livestock Manager or Agricultural professional. You do not need any previous teaching experience or a teaching qualification, as full training and support will be provided to help you make the transition into education.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced agricultural professional looking for a completely different career move where you can remain connected to the farming industry without the demanding lifestyle that often comes with it. You'll have the opportunity to pass on decades of practical knowledge, gain recognised teaching qualifications and enjoy a stable career with an excellent pension and outstanding holiday allowance.
