Description:

Carmichael UK are looking for an experienced Agent to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering works as part of a major long-term water framework across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Agent with a strong civil engineering or utilities background to join an established delivery team working across a varied programme of water infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Managing the day-to-day delivery of projects and packages of works

Leading site teams and coordinating subcontractors

Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards

Managing construction programmes, resources and site activities

Liaising with the client, designers, subcontractors and other key stakeholders

Monitoring progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions

Managing RAMS, permits and relevant site documentation

Supporting commercial teams with cost control, variations and forecasting

Ensuring compliance with company health, safety, environmental and quality procedures

Driving a strong safety culture across the project

Requirements

Previous experience working as an Agent, Site Agent or similar

Strong civil engineering construction background

Experience within water, utilities, infrastructure or other major civil engineering projects

Previous Tier 1 or major-project experience would be highly advantageous

Strong understanding of health & safety and construction delivery

Experience managing site teams and subcontractors

Good commercial awareness and ability to work to programme

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills

Relevant civil engineering qualification or demonstrable industry experience

SMSTS and CSCS would be advantageous
