Aerodynamics Engineer - 39606 - £33.91/hr umbrella rate
An Aerodynamics Engineer is required to undertake Pre-KO and Pre-PS aerodynamic simulations (3D CFD) to support Design and Engineering to deliver target compatible vehicle concepts for subsequent programme delivery.
The role is fundamentally CFD focussed but for the right candidate it could involve physical test work in full scale wind tunnels (with overseas travel).
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Strong CFD background ideally using StarCCM+.
Excellent fluid knowledge and understanding of vehicle flow structures.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Experience of vehicle aerodynamics and the passenger vehicle development process with a track record of building complex CFD models for Aerodynamic analysis.
Preferred:
Aerodynamics coupled with Thermal analyses.
Passenger vehicle wind tunnel testing.
Aeroacoustics and Water & Dirt Management.
Education
Degree level in an Engineering discipline such as Aeronautics.
