Advanced Technical Support Engineer - Distribution

Your Mission:

We are currently recruiting for a person to join our Advanced Technical Support team supporting our Low Voltage line of business, covering our low voltage distribution systems.

You will provide a high level of support on the Schneider Electric range of our low voltage distribution systems; actively promoting Schneider Electric products from all brands and providing technical and application support, as well as fault finding and commissioning assistance to all external and internal customers.

Work with the sales team to identify and develop new business. Driving customer satisfaction by collaborating with other departments within Schneider to resolve challenges, and to promote product or process improvements.

You will receive full product training and assistance from our staff on internal systems & processes and the freedom to learn & express interest in other products ranges within the business.

Your Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Technical Support providing precise and clear detailed assistance to enable customers to select and purchase correctly and easily.
Post Sales Technical advice providing detailed information to help customers to install and commission our products quickly and efficiently.
Methodical questioning regarding site safety giving diagnosis of application design, installation, commissioning, and breakdown issues with safe and effective resolutions.
Proposing solutions based on careful questioning of customers real needs and which match product capability, application, standards, and legislation, within the customers budgetary constraints.
Liaise with Product Application Engineers and Expert Level Technical Support to ensure the customer receives the highest level of support across all products regardless of the complexity of product or problem.
Assist to develop and administer advanced technical training for internal staff for upskilling and knowledge.
Demonstrate excellent telephone, e-mail and personal interaction skills.
Provide effective and timely assistance to customer issues.
Enter details of all support activities into the Department Case Tracking System (BridgeFront Office Software) whilst keeping an excellence of data quality and efficient case management to meet our SLA's.
Handling calls and emails from customers during office hours, ensuring prompt acknowledgment of issues, and seeing through to a resolution.
Assist in the collection, compilation, and reporting of system problems or FAQs to publish summaries.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for review of FAQ articles prior to publication.
Follow Company and Industry standards.
Prioritize critical site escalations, especially for UK Strategic Accounts and Strategic Partners.
Ensure awareness of OH&S practices and be pro-active with them.
Comply with all safety standards as per SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC Policy.
Trade qualification in a related discipline or relevant workplace experienceEssential Skills and attributes:
An Electrical industry relevant qualification, e.g., City and guilds or BTEC. Apprentice trained, or evidence of time served will be considered.
Minimum 2 years' experience in an Electrical Engineering or technical support role
Detailed knowledge of the Schneider Electric product range or similar competitor products
Computer Literate with good typing skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
Excellent Time Management Skills
The ability to work well within a team and empower others.
